Bunt ist besser || Multicolour for me, please

Farbe war schon immer mein Ding. Für mich ist ein Outfit, das nicht zumindest einen Tupfer Farbe beinhaltet, nicht komplett. Schwarz, weiß, grau und beige können alle toll aussehen - aber ein bisschen rot, pink oder orange verbessert so ziemlich jedes Outfit - meiner Meinung nach (schaut zum Beispiel mal hier oder hier; jedes dieser Outfits hätte gut ausgesehen ohne die pinken Highlights, ist aber 10mal besser mit). Und warum nicht mehrere Farben kombinieren? Ich liebe die Kombis orange + pink, zum Beispiel, oder rot + senfgelb, und habe sie selbst oft getragen (zum Beispiel hier oder hier oder hier). Kein Wunder, dass mir Marys Outfit gleich gefallen hat. Die Tatsache, dass sie in dem Outfit nicht nur verschiedene Farben kombiniert hat, sondern zusätzlich auch noch so viele Muster wie möglich (Streifen! Punkte! Blumen!) untergebracht hat, macht das Outfit nur noch besser.

I have always been a big fan of colour. To me an outfit that does not at least have a bit of colour is missing something. Black, white, grey and beige can all look great - but a little bit of red, pink or orange changes almost every outfit for the better, in my opinion (have a look at these pictures here and here, for example; each one of these would have looked nice without the pink but look 10 times better with them). And why not combine several colours? I love the vibrancy of orange + pink, for example, or red + mustard yellow, and have worn it often myself (see here, for example or here or here). No wonder I immediately loved Mary's outfit. The fact that she has not just combined different colours in it, but has also gone a bit crazy on the patterns (stripes! dots! floral!) makes it even better.

Ich glaube nicht, dass ich jemals Turban tragen könnte, weil ich ständig checken müsste, ob noch alles so sitzt wie ich es will, aber an Alina (die dieses Outfit zur Uni trug) sieht es gut aus.

I don't think I could ever wear a head wrap as I would be constantly checking it's still in place, but it looks good on Alina (who wore this outfit to uni).

Review: Timotei Organic Delight Shampoo

Auf der Suche nach einem guten Bio-Shampoo, bin ich auf dieses Shampoo von Timotei gestoßen. Es ist bio, fast komplett biologisch abbaubar und enthält keine Parabene, Silikone, Sulphate oder Farbstoffe. Es riecht gut und gibt gut Volumen. Was die Bio-Qualität und Umweltfreundlichkeit angeht, bin ich ein bisschen skeptisch, inwiefern das tatsächlich der Fall ist (Greenwashing und so), aber falls man keinen Bio-Supermarkt / Reformhaus in der Nähe hat, dann ist das Shampoo auf jeden Fall eine gute Alternative. 

In my search for a good organic shampoo, I came across this Timotei shampoo. It's organic, almost completely bio-degradable and does not contain any parabens, silicones, sulphates or colourants. It also smells nice and it's quite volumising. I am a bit sceptical as to how organic and environment-friendly it really is (I've heard too much about greenwashing not to be), but if you don't have an organic shop, this is definitely a good alternative.

Pink und Jeans || Pink and jeans

Die letzten paar Tage waren wunderschön. Es ist ziemlich warm, in der Sonne sogar heiß. Richtig schön. Ich könnte wahrscheinlich sogar Kleider oder einen Rock tragen, aber nach sechs Wochen, in denen ich nichts als Kleider und Röcke getragen habe (im Sommer in Beirut), will ich jetzt nichts als meine Jeans. Ich habe sie im ganzen letzten Monat fast jeden Tag getragen.

The last few days have been beautiful. It's quite warm, even hot in the sun. It's beautiful. I suppose I could even wear skirts and dresses, but after six weeks of not wearing anything but dresses and skirts (over the summer in Beirut), I don't want anything else than my jeans. I've worn them almost every day in the last month.
