Sportkleider für Hijabis || Workout clothes for hijabis

Als Hijabträgerin Sportkleider zu finden, kann schwierig sein. Ich habe vor ein paar Jahren dieses Top von Shukr (in Schwarz) geholt, und als ich jetzt meinen Store Credit aufbrauchen sollte, habe ich mir ein zweites Sporttop von ihnen bestellt.

Finding hijab appropriate workout clothes can be difficult. I got this top from Shukr (in black) a few years ago (it's perfect!), so when I needed to use up my store credit now, I decided to get another workout top from them. 

Viele von Shukr's Kleider sind in eher dunkel Farben gehalten (schwarz, dunkelgrün, dunkelblau, rotbraun, burgunderrot) ... und ihr wisst, wie sehr ich Farbe liebe ... deswegen war ich begeistert, als ich dieses Sporttop in einer meiner Lieblingsfarben gesehen habe - in blaugrün!

A lot of Shukr's clothes are in very dark colours (black, dark green, dark blue, maroon, burgundy) ... and you know how much I love colour ... so I was so excited to find a workout top in one of my favourite colours - teal! 

Ich hab das Top in Größe M bestellt. Die Lieferung war, wie immer, unglaublich schnell (obwohl sie in Jordanien sitzen!), und die Qualität des Tops war auch tip top. Es ist aus Rayon, Baumwolle und ein bisschen Elastan gemacht. Der Stoff ist super weich und sehr bequem zu tragen. Das Top ist an mir knielang und passt gut. Ich hätte es wahrscheinlich an einigen Stellen ein bisschen enger geschnitten gewollt ... andererseits trage ich ja Hijab, und sollte wohl froh sein, dass es etwas weiter ist.

I ordered an M. As usual, delivery was super fast (despite them being based in Jordan!), and the quality of the top was top notch. It is made from rayon, cotton and a bit of elastane. The fabric is super soft and very comfortable to wear. The top is knee-length on me, and it's a good fit. I would probably have wanted it to be a bit more fitted in some parts, but then I do wear hijab, so I guess I should be happy it's a bit looser. 

Ich hab es mit einem blauen Hijab (auch von Shukr - dem Professional Hijab in Royal Blue). Ich hab noch kein einziges Kopftuch von SHUKR gekauft, das nicht PERFEKT war. In dem Foto unten könnt ihr sehen, wie schön es fällt. Und die Farbe ist auch ❤❤❤!

I wore it with a blue hijab (also from Shukr - the Professional Hijab in Royal Blue). I haven't bought a single hijab from Shukr yet that wasn't PERFECT. You can see how beautifully it drapes in the picture below. The color, too, is ❤❤❤!

Ich hab heute jetzt keinen intensiven Sport gemacht (sondern bin schnell laufen - nicht joggen - gegangen), deswegen hab ich das Top mit Jeans getragen. Die Bilder hab ich gemacht, bevor ich schnell noch in den Supermarkt bin - bevor ich dann in den Park gegangen bin, hab ich noch Turnschuhe angezogen, die zum schnell Laufen bequemer sind. 

I didn't do any heavy workout today (but just went for a brisk walk in the park), so I wore the top with jeans. I took the pictures just before popping to the shops - before I went to the park, I changed into trainers that are more comfortable for fast walking.

Ich nehme normalerweise meine kleine Crossover-Tasche mit in den Park - und ich mag, wie das warme, helle Braun gegen das Blaugrün aussieht.

Coronavirus-Gesichtsmasken || Corona virus face masks

Gesichtsmasken sind hier seit kurzem Pflicht in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln, um die Verbreitung des Coronavirus zu verlangsamen. Ich hab in den letzten drei Monaten nicht wirklich öffentliche Verkehrsmittel benutzt, aber ich dachte, es ist besser, vorbereitet zu sein, also hab ich ein paar Gesichtsmasken für das P-linchen und micht bestellt. Und weil Einwegmasken hässlich sind und nicht gut für die Umwelt, hab ich stattdessen ein paar wiederverwendbare Masken von Etsy verwendet.

Face masks have recently become compulsory here on public transport, to help prevent the spread of the corona virus. I haven't really been using public transport in the last 3 months, but I thought it would be better to be prepared, so I ordered a couple of face masks for both little P and me. And because the one-use face masks are both ugly and not that great for the environment, I ordered a few reusable cotton masks from Etsy instead. 

Ich trage meisten rosane, blaue oder dunkeltürkise Kopftücher, also hab ich die Gesichtsmasken dementsprechend ausgewählt. Politisch gesehen würde ich immer das Recht jeder Frau, Niqab zu tragen, verteidigen, aber für mich persönlich ist Niqab nichts. Insofern war der Gedanke, dass ich jetzt de facto Teilzeit-Niqabi bin, ziemlich komisch ... vor allem, weil es auf Geheiß derselben Regierung war, die hier seit Jahren schon Niqabis auf die schlimmste Art und Weise verteufelt.

Most of the headscarves I wear are either pink, blue or teal, so I chose the face masks accordingly. While I politically support every woman's right to wear niqab, I would personally never consider wearing it, so it's been quite a strange thought that I have now de facto become a part-time niqabi ... especially considering that this has been on the orders of the same government that has been vilifying Muslim women in the most horrifying ways for years. 

Aber Politik beiseite, hier sind ein paar der Gesichtsmasken, die ich bestellt habe. Ich habe sie von zwei verschiedenen Etsy-Verkäuferinnen bestellt: Dandy Floss Crafts und Alicias Gift Store. Ich bin jetzt immer noch ein großer Fan von Gesichtsmasken, aber diese hier sehen wenigstens schön aus - und wir sind jetzt vorbereitet und können öffentliche Verkehrsmittel benutzen, wenn wir müssen.

I'm still not a big fan of face masks, but at least these look nice - and we are prepared now and able to use public transport when we need to.

Sommerleinen (Kleider) || Summer linen (dresses)

Im Sommer, wenn es richtig heiß wird, gibt es wahrscheinlich keinen bequemeren Stoff zu tragen als Leinen. Hier in Großbritannien hat der Sommer wirklich gerade erst angefangen, aber bald wird es auch hier richtig heiß (für ein paar Wochen, nicht mehr, ist ja immerhin England). Es ist oft ein bisschen überteuert (ich hab zwei Kleiderstücke dort gekauft - beide im Sale), aber sonst mag ich The White Company. Sie haben echt oft ganz schöne Kleider. Diese Kleider aus Leinen wären super für den Sommer. Am besten gefällt mir das graue Kleid. Das würde mit einem rosa Kopftuch super aussehen.

In the summer, when it's really hot, there is probably no fabric as comfortable to wear as linen. Summer has really only started in the UK, but it won't be long until it gets really hot (for a few weeks, not long, mind you). It's a bit overpriced (I got both of the two pieces of clothing that I bought there in the sale), but other than that, I like The White Company. They have some really nice clothes. These linen dresses would be great for summer. My favourite is the grey one. It would look fantastic with a pink headscarf.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal seit Ewigkeiten wieder in der Stadt. Ich hab mein dunkelblaues Wickelkleid mit weißen Polkadots und ein blaugrünes Kopftuch getragen. Das Kleid hab ich aus einem Charity Shop, und ich trage es oft mit dem blaugrünen Tuch. Ich mag die Farbkombi.

We went to town for the first time in ages today. I wore my navy wrap dress with white polka dots and a teal hijab. I bought the dress from a charity shop, and I often wear it with this teal hijab. I like how the two colours look together.

Das Kleid hat keine langen Ärmel, deswegen trage ich entweder ein weißes oder blaues Langarmshirt drunter - oder wie hier ein Paar falsche Ärmel.

The dress doesn't have full sleeves, so I either wear a white or blue long-sleeve shirt underneath - or a pair of fake sleeves like today.

Es war warm genug, Ballerinas zu tragen, aber ich wusste, dass wir ein ganzes Stück laufen würden, deswegen hab ich lieber meine neuen roten Adidas angezogen. Ich liebe die Farbe. Rote Schuhe sind einfach perfekt.

It was warm enough to wear flats, but I knew we were going to walk quite a bit, so I wore my new red Adidas instead. I love the colour. Red shoes are happiness.

Wieviele schwarze Bloggerinnen kennst du? Ich hab in den letzten Tagen mehrere Leute, die damit ihre Unterstützung für die Black Lives Matter-Bewegung ausdrücken wollten, schwarze Blogger empfehlen gesehen. Dabei ist mir klar geworden, dass ich selbst nur zwei schwarze Bloggerinnen kenne, die über Mode und so weiter bloggen: Laura Laquer und Basma K. Alison Gary von Wardrobe Oxygen hat vor Kurzem eine Liste von schwarzen Bloggerinnen, denen sie auf Instagram folgt. Es war eine ziemlich lange und umfangreiche Liste, und gutbetucht ist eine Mode- (und kein Lifestyle-Blog), deswegen hab ich alle Kategorien, die nichts mit Mode oder Schönheitspflege zu tun hatten, herausgenommen. I have seen a few people share recommendations of black bloggers to follow in the last two weeks, in the spirit of expressing support for the Black Lives Matter movement, and I realised I only know two black bloggers who write about fashion and beauty: Laura Laquer and Basma K. Gesichtspflegeroutine (einfach) || Face care routine (simple)

Ich find es immer ein bisschen komisch, wenn Leute meinen, ihre Gesichtspflegeroutine sei so 'einfach' ... und dann stellt sich heraus, der Prozess umfasst 5 Schritte und 7 verschiedene Produkte... Einfach ist für mich etwas anderes. Meine Gesichtspflegeroutine umfasst ganz genau 2 Schritte, nämlich (1) Wasser und (2) Gesichtscreme. Außer wenn ich dusche und/oder Sonnencreme abwasche - dann benutze ich auch einen Face Wash. Die Routine ist morgens und abends die gleiche - außer es ist sonnig draußen, dann benutze ich Sonnencreme statt der Gesichtscreme. Ich benutze seit zwei Jahren oder so diese Sonnencreme vom Body Shop. Sie riecht total gut und hinterlässt keine weißen Flecken auf der Haut. Die Gesichtscreme, die ich im Moment benutze ist von Garnier. Ich hab sie gekauft, weil sie nach Rosen riecht und 'natürlich' ist. Sie ist ok, aber nicht super - ich glaube, ich werd sie nicht wieder kaufen.

I have always found it so strange when people state how 'simple' their face care routine is ... and then they go on to share a process that involves 5 different steps and 7 products... That's not simple to me. My face care routine is literally (1) water, (2) face cream. Unless I shower and/or need to take sunscreen off, in which case I also use face wash. I follow the same routine in the morning and evening - unless it is sunny outside, in which case I'll use sunscreen rather than face cream. I have been using this sunscreen by The Body Shop for two years or so. It smells amazing and doesn't leave any white residue on your skin. The face cream I use at the moment is by Garnier. I bought it because it is rose-scented and 'natural'. It is ok, but not amazing - I don't think I will buy it again.

Der Facewash, den ich zurzeit benutze, ist von Garnier Organic. Ich hab ihn auch vor allem wegen der Duftnote gekauft. Ich mag Zitronengras einfach so gerne! Ab und zu (was zweimal die Woche, einmal die Woche, oder alle 2 Wochen sein kann - je nachdem, wie busy ich bin) benutze ich eine Gesichtsmaske. Ich hab diese weiße Lehmmaske von Dr Organic, die nach Rose riecht, vor ein paar Jahren entdeckt, und sie ist super. Ich liebe den Geruch, und der weiße Lehm ist toll für die Haut. Ich trage die Maske normalerweise in der Badewanne auf. So ist es super einfach, sie nach 10 Minuten oder so mit einem Musselintuch abzuwaschen.

The face wash I use at the moment is by Garnier Organic. Again, I bought it because of the scent. Lemongrass is one of my absolute favourites. Every once in a while (which could be twice a week, once a week, or once every 2 weeks - depending how busy I am), I use a face mask. I discovered this rose-scented clay mask from Dr Organic a few years ago, and it's the best. I love the scent, and the clay is amazing for the skin. I usually apply it when I'm in the bath, which makes it super easy to wash it off with a muslin cloth after 10 minutes or so. 

Ich versuche, wenn immer möglich, Bio-Schönheits- und Pflegeprodukte zu benutzen. Und manchmal bin ich am Überlegen, ob manche dieser Leute, die sich beschweren, wie empfindlich ihre Haut ist (und dann eine 10-Schritt-Routine teilen, wobei sie verschiedene Produkte mischen, und so weiter), nicht besser beraten wären, den ganzen Prozess ein bisschen einfacher zu gestalten.

I try to use organic beauty and care product whenever possible. And sometimes I wonder if some of those people who complain about how sensitive their skin is (and then share their 10-step routine which involves mixing products and what have you) wouldn't be better off if they just simplified that process.

Ich bin wieder dabei, beim Hijab-Bloggen ... nach fast 3 Jahren! Vielleicht schreib ich irgendwann mal ein bisschen dazu, warum ich aufgehört habe und jetzt wieder da bin, aber heute, dachte ich, fange ich erst mal mit einem kurzen Rückblick an, und in Form einer Liste von Posts, die ich hier auf dem Blog geteilt habe. Und weil meine Lieblingsfarbe pink ist, geht es dabei um pink! Also ... wie trägt man diese wunderbare Farbe? Hier sind ein paar Beispiele, wie ich das (seit 2012!) gemacht habe...
