Ich habe irgendwann letzten Herbst oder Sommer entschieden, dass ich öfter Ketten tragen will. Warum? Na ja, weil du ganz einfach durch das Anlegen einer Kette ein simples Outfit gleich viel interessanter wirken lassen kannst, aus etwas Einfachem etwas Besonderes machen kannst. Je nachdem, welche Art von Kette du trägst, kannst du deinem Outfit etwas Farbe oder Glitzer hinzufügen und das ganze schicker oder, ganz im Gegenteil, bodenständiger wirken lassen. Ich hatte bereits einige Ketten und hielt die Augen auf für potentielle Neuzugänge - und dann fand ich heraus, dass in meinem Charityshop richtig schöne Ketten zu finden sind. Für 2 oder 3 GBP.

Und dann sah ich ein dazu passendes Armband mit roten, pinken, lilanen, orangen und goldenen Perlen und Anhängern. Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick! Als ich die Preise sah (2 GBP für die Kette, 1 GBP für das Armband) war die Entscheidung so ziemlich getroffen: die beiden kamen heute mit mir mit.
And then I saw a matching bracelet with red, pink, purple, orange and golden beads and trinkets. It was love at first sight. When I saw the prices (2 GBP for the necklace, 1 GBP for the bracelet) the decision was pretty much made: these two were going home with me.
Ich wusste, die hellen, kräftigen Farben würden richtig gut auf einfachem Schwarz aussehen, und ich wollte unbedingt mein neues taupefarbenes Langarmshirt wieder tragen ... so kam es dann, dass der obere Teil meines Outfits folgendermaßen aussah:
I knew the bright, powerful colours would look really nice against simple, plain black, and I really wanted to wear my new taupe long sleeve shirt again ... so this is what (the top part of) my outfit looked like:
