Review: The Body Shop Duschgel und Augen-Gel || Review: The Body Shop Shower Gel and Eye Gel

 

Ich bin jetzt kein rieeeeesen Fan, aber mögen tu ich The Body Shop schon. Die Produkte sind Fairtrade, 100% vegetarisch und nicht an Tieren getestet. Das allein spricht für das Unternehmen. Darüber hinaus ist es relativ einfach, an ihre Produkte zu kommen. Hier in Großbritannien gibt es in so ziemlich jeder größeren Stadt einen Body Shop.

I'm not a huuuuuge fan, but I do quite like skincare and beauty products from The Body Shop. Their products are fair trade, 100% vegetarian and not tested on animals. That in itself speaks for the company. On top of that, it is easy to get hold of the products. Here in the UK, there is a Body Shop in pretty much every bigger city. 

Letzten Sommer habe ich ein relativ großes Paket voll mit Schönheitsprodukten von The Body Shop von Verwandten, die ich eine ganze Weile nicht gesehen hatte, bekommen. Ich hatte eigentlich vorgehabt, die Sachen, wenn ich sie alle verwendet habe, hier vorzustellen, aber ich habe immer noch erst die Hälfte davon ausprobiert, deswegen müsst ihr jetzt einfach auf meine Meining zu den Produkten, die noch fehlen, noch eine Weile warten.

Last summer, I got quite a big pack full of skincare products by the Body Shop from some relatives I hadn't seen in a long time. I had been planning to review all of the products once I had used them all, but I still have tried only half of them, so you'll need to wait a little longer to get an opinion on the remaining items.

Pink Grapefruit Duschgel || Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel

Das Zeug ist super! Ich habe die Fruchtreihe vom Body Shop, und davon vor allem die Duschgels und Bodyscrubs, schon immer gemocht - und Grapefruit ist besonders gut (wenn einem die fruchtigen Duftrichtungen liegen). Erdbeere und, ich glaube, Mango gibt es auch - aaaah, ich lieb' sie alle! :D

I love this! I've always liked the Body Shop's range of fruity shower gels and body scrubs, and grapefruit is particularly nice (if you like fresh fruit scents, that is). They also have strawberry and I think mango - I love them all! :D

Holunderblüten Unparfümiertes Augen-Gel || Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel

Dieses Gel hätte ich mir nie selbst gekauft ... ein Augen-Gel?! Was Cremen und Lotions angeht benutze ich Bodylotion und eine Gesichtscreme (und im Winter manchmal noch eine zusätzliche Creme für meine Hände), aber das war's dann auch schon. Wo ich es jetzt schon geschenkt bekommen hatte, dachte ich mir, ich probiere es halt aus, das Gel - und es war eine ziemlich Enttäuschung. Meine Haut ist jetzt wirklich nicht besonders empfindlich, aber nach dem Auftragen dieses Gels war die Haut um meine Augen rot und hat gejuckt - was jetzt nicht wirklich der Effekt, den man von einem "unparfümierten" ( = besonders milden?!) Augen-Gel erwartet, war. Einmal und nie wieder. Ich habe das Gel letztendlich einer Freundin weitergegeben.

I would have never bought this myself ... an eye gel?! In terms of creams and lotions, I use bodylotion and a face cream (and sometimes in winter a different cream for my hands), and that's about it. Since I was given this gel though, I thought I'd try it and it turned out a huge disappointment. My skin is really not particularly sensitive, but this gel left the skin around my eyes red and itchy - not what you'd expect from an "unperfumed" ( = sensitive?!) eye gel. Never ever again. I ended up giving the remaining gel to a friend.

Außerdem habe ich die Kokonuss-Bodybutter und die Pfefferminz Kühlende Fußlotion bekommen (wobei ich da auch kurz gezögert habe ... eine Lotion nur für die Füße?!), aber ich habe beide noch nicht ausprobiert. Kokosnuss ist jetzt nicht wirklich meine bevorzugte Duftrichtung, aber ich weiß, dass die Körperbutte vom Body Shop generell nicht schlecht ist. Ein Update gibt es inschaallah sobald ich die beiden ausprobiert habe.

I also got the Coconut Body Butter and Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion (again ... a different lotion just for my feet?!), but haven't tried them yet. Coconut is not my favourite scent, but I know the body butters from The Body Shop are not bad. Update is coming as soon as I have tried these two as well inshaallah.
