Oder: Über schwarze Kopftücher
Or: On black headscarves
Ich trage eigentlich keine schwarzen Tücher. Ich habe das früher gemacht, vor ein paar Jahren noch, bis mir irgendwann klar geworden ist, dass die meisten Outfits besser aussehen, wenn du nicht deinem ersten Instinkt folgt und ein schwarzes Kopftuch dazu trägst, sondern stattdessen eine Farbe wählst oder etwas anderes Neutrales, zum Beispiel weiß, beige oder grau. Meiner Meinung nach stehen den meisten Leuten schwarze Kopftücher nicht. Zumindest sehe ich selten jemanden ein schwarzes Kopftuch tragen und denke, 'ja, sieht gut aus'. Es steht den meisten Leuten einfach nicht und lässt sie müde oder traurig aussehen. Echt jetzt. Hört auf Mama Philippa, seid vorsichtig mit schwarzen Kopftüchern!
I don't usually wear black scarves. I used to a few years ago until I realised that most outfits look better when you don't follow your first instinct to wear it with a black scarf but choose a colour or something neutral like white, beige or grey instead. In my opinion black scarves do not actually look good on most people. At least when I see people wear a black headscarf, I don't usually think, 'yeah, nice'. It just does not suit most people and tends to make people look tired or sad. Seriously. Listen to Mama Philippa, be careful with black scarves!

Why did I still chose a black scarf when Ismihan from TrendyCovered contacted me a while ago asking if I wanted to write a review for them? Well, it is still a staple. One that you should not wear too often, but that is still useful to have somewhere in the back of your cupboard. Just in case. The polyester makes it a bit shiny which makes the scarf suitable for more formal occasions. I wore it with a casual outfit and that worked, too. I do wear less black hijab now. You're right about it making us look sad and gloomy. They're just so easy to slip on though coz they're easy to match.
AntwortenLöschenThat's what most people think (I used to think the same), but it is not actually true. I don't think any more black works with everything. In fact, there are very few colours that go with black, it ruins the effect of most of them. :D Perhaps I should write a separate blogpost on combining black with colour... :D
