Herbst in England || Autumn in England

 Bye bye, Maxiröcke || Bye bye, maxi skirts

Ich habe es immer noch nicht geschafft, mir eine neue Kamera zu besorgen ... was letztendlich vielleicht gar nicht so schlimm ist, weil ich so wenigstens gezwungen bin, die Fotos, die ich vor Monaten gemacht aber noch nicht hochgeladen habe, noch mal durchzugehen und sie endlich posten. Wie die hier zum Beispiel, die ich ... im April gemacht habe.

I still have not got a chance to get a new camera ... which perhaps is not that bad after all, because it forces me to recycle pictures I took months ago but never got around posting. Like these ones which were taken ... in April.

Wahrscheinlich wird es bis April nächsten Jahres dauern, bis ihr mich wieder in einem Maxirock (oder -kleid) seht. Das Wetter hier ist so unvorhersehbar und darauf, mir meine Röcke dadurch zu ruinieren, dass ich sie durch den Mix aus Regenwasser und halbverrotteten Blättern ziehe, der so charakteristisch für die dritte Jahreszeit in diesem Land ist, habe ich nicht wirklich Lust. Aaaah, Herbst in England, ist es nicht einfach toll?  :/

It won't probably be before April next year that you'll see me wearing maxi skirts (or dresses) again. The weather here is so unpredictable and the last thing I'd want is ruining my skirts by dragging them through the mix of rain water and half-rotten leaves that is so characteristic for the third season in this country. Aaaah, autumn in England, isn't it lovely?  :/

Gott, hab ich diese Schuhe geliebt. Ich habe sie jahrelang getragen, bis sie wirklich total abgewetzt ("worn-out" in Englisch ... da muss ich immer an dieses Lied <3 denken) waren. Jetzt MUSSTE ich sie wegwerfen. Snif snif.

God, I loved these shoes. I wore them for years even though they were really worn-out (that word always makes me think of this song <3 ) at the end. HAD to throw them away now. Snif snif.
