Blau wieder entdeckt || Rediscovering blue

Ich habe in den letzten Monaten viel Blau getragen. Als Kind und als Teenager habe ich blau geliebt, hatte es jetzt aber seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr getragen. Wobei, wenn ich es mir recht überlege, wirklich aufgehört blau zu tragen, habe ich nie, aber ich habe es eher als neutrale Farbe getragen als als die Hauptfarbe eines Outfits.

I have been wearing a lot of blue in the last months. I used to love blue as a child and teenager but had not worn it in ages. Even though, thinking about it, I had never really stopped wearing blue, I just hardly ever wore it as the main colour of an outfit, but more as a neutral.

In den letzten Wochen habe ich es so ziemlich jeden Tag getragen. Dunkelblau, hellblau, blaugrün, türkis. <3 Angefangen hat meine neue Blau-Phase mit diesem Kleid (das auf einigen der Bildern fast grün aussieht, aber in echt blau ist), das ich am Anfang des Sommers entdeckt habe. Mein erster Impuls war gewesen, es mit Schwarz zu tragen, aber mir wurde schnell klar, dass Schwarz das ganze Outfit ruiniert hätte (wie das oft so ist, wenn man Schwarz mit bunten Outfits kombiniert). So habe ich also Blau mit Blau und Blau getragen - und war begeistert!

In the last weeks, I have pretty much worn it everyday. Dark blue, light blue, turquoise, teal. <3 It all started when I came across this dress (which looks kind of green in some of the pictures but in fact is blue) at the beginning of the summer. My first thought was to wear it with black, but then I realised that black would have completely ruined the whole look (as black often does with colourful outfits). So I wore blue with blue and blue - and loved it!

Ich liebe diese (türkische) Art, das Kopftuch so zu tragen, dass die beiden Enden deines Schals über deine Schultern hängen. Das Problem ist dabei nur, dass dieser Style nicht wirklich die Brust bedeckt. Ich wollte das Tuch trotzdem unbedingt so tragen, also habe ich eine Weile damit herumgespielt und war hochauf begeistert, als ich schließlich herausgefunden habe, dass, wenn man am Tuch vorne einfach ein bisschen zieht, der Schal doch alles bedeckt, was man bedeckt haben möchte.

I really like this (Turkish) way of throwing the two end of your scarf over your shoulders. The only problem is that it does not really cover the chest. I really wanted to wear it this way though, so I was really pleased when a couple of days ago, I finally figured out that if I kept on pulling down the bit of the scarf in the front, the scarf provides as much coverage as I wanted it to.

 

Der Rock sieht ziemlich Blau auf diesen Bildern aus, dabei ist es in echt ein dunkles Blaugrün. || The skirt looks pretty blue in these pictures, while it is actually a dark teal.
