Ich bin für gewöhnlich kein Fan dieser Youtube-Islam-Videos, aber dieser Vortrag zum Thema modesty (wie übersetzt man das?!) war so genial vorgetragen, dass ich ihn mit euch teilen wollte. Ich stimme nicht mit allem, was AbdelRahman Murphy, der Vortragende, zu sagen hat, aber die Idee, auf drei verschiedene Ebenen von modesty hinzuweisen (und nicht, wie so viele, so zu tun, als ginge es dabei nur um Kleidung so à la "Kopftuch = modesty), fand ich gut.
I am usually not a big fan of these videos on Islam that you find on Youtube, but this lecture on modesty was delivered in such a great way that I wanted to share it. I do not agree with everything AbdelRahman Murphy, the speaker, says but I did like the idea of speaking of three different levels of modesty. There are too many people out there who make you believe that modesty was exclusively about clothes as if simply wearing a head scarf made you modest.
